Food Distributions & Pantries

The demand for food pantries is higher than every. We’re working with local organizations to spread the word about available food distributions, and to make sure they have everything they need to reach as many people as possible.

Senior Meals

Older adults are at a higher risk for hunger during this time as programs that typically support them are shuttered and they are unable to go outdoors for fear of infection. We work with local organizations to make resources available and let senior citizens know where to find food.

You Can Make A Difference During COVID-19

While these are trying times for everyone, it’s important that we work together as a community to make sure that we all come through the COVID-19 pandemic with as little discomfort and distress as possible.

San Diego Hunger Coalition and its partners are working hard to make sure that everyone enough to eat and the information they need, and we need your support to continue our work. There are three ways that you can help.

First donate

Your financial support has the highest impact for our community and the lowest risk for your health.

Next spread the word

Information is our best tool as we navigate this crisis together. San Diego Hunger Coalition has a resource page that is regularly updated, and a COVID-19 food assistance info sheet that is easily shared. Please help us get information where it’s needed most by sharing these far and wide.

Then volunteer

The increased demand for food assistance means an increased need for volunteers to offer support to our vulnerable neighbors. There are ways for you to volunteer in person or virtually. All organizations are observing social distancing and safety measures. Hands On San Diego has a regularly updated list of volunteer opportunities.

Thank you for your continued support!
